What We Do

As a federally qualified health care center, our patients have access to the 340B program which provides substantial savings on medications ordered through our providers. For convenience to our patients, our Family Care Pharmacy is an exclusive 340B pharmacy and only patients of FMC are eligible for the 340B program. CHANGE, Inc. has various contracts with pharmacies throughout the Ohio Valley. Our highly trained pharmacists works closely with Family Medical Care’s providers to provide seamless healthcare delivery, and is always available to answer questions about medications in person, by telephone or by email. We’re confident we can offer you the lowest price for your prescription, but if you find a better price, we’ll beat it!

What We Offer

Discount Medications

Family Care Pharmacy participates in the 340B federal discount drug program which currently offers the least expensive drug prices, particularly for higher priced, non-generic drugs, and participates in numerous pharmaceutical indigent drug programs that provide medications to qualified patients for a small service fee. Only patients of Family Medical Care are eligible for the 340B program.

Easy, Convenient Location

Family Care Pharmacy is located on the first floor of Family Medical Care Community Health Center (Weirton Office), and maintains hours of operation reflective of Family Medical Care. Most prescriptions can be picked up immediately following your medical appointment.

Highly Trained Staff

Our highly trained pharmacists work closely with your provider to provide seamless healthcare delivery. Our pharmacists are always available to answer questions about your medications in person, by phone or email, and a consultation room is available for your privacy.

Patient Assistance Program

The Patient Assistance Program assists income-eligible Family Medical Care patients without existing prescription coverage to apply for medications through the numerous pharmaceutical companies indigent drug programs.

To determine if you qualify, make an appointment for a Patient Assistance Screening. You will need verification of your household income, a list of your current prescriptions, and a denial letter from your local Department of Health and Human Resources office. If eligible, the Patient Advocate will begin the application process. Final approval is determined by the individual pharmaceutical companies.

A service fee is applied to cover the costs involved in submitting the applications to the pharmaceutical companies.

Free Delivery

Patients of Family Medical Care have the option to receive FREE delivery of their prescriptions.

Online Prescription Refills

Through our FMC patient portal or Healow app (use code HIGHAD to add us), you can refill your prescriptions online without ever having to call them in. Talk to your family medical care provider about getting set up on our FMC Patient Portal!

  • To use our patient portal, an account must be created by our staff. Visit one of our FMC locations or call 304-797-7733 and ask for Medical Records to sign up.

Multiple Payment Options

We take multiple payment options such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover, personal check, or cash. Payment is due at the time of pick-up. For insured patients, you must bring proof of insurance and your co-payment.

Most Insurances Accepted

Family Care Pharmacy accepts most insurances including Medicaid and Medicare. If you’re a patient of FMC and unsure if you’re covered, give us a call at 304-748-4200.

Patient Prescription Reports

Patient Prescription Reports are available! Reports can be run monthly, quarterly or annually and contain your prescription history, including medication names, dates, and payments.

340B Pharmacy Program

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), our patients have access to the 340B program which provides substantial savings on medications ordered through our providers. For convenience to our patients, our Family Care Pharmacy is located in our Weirton location and provides eligible patients with 340B services. CHANGE, Inc. has various contracts with pharmacies throughout the Ohio Valley for the 340B program. To find out if your pharmacy participates, please ask your provider for more information.
