Weatherization Assistance Program

What We Do

The Weatherization Assistance Program assists in reducing energy use for low-income families by improving the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring their health and safety.

Services We Provide

Open to individuals and families living in Hancock, Brooke, Ohio and Marshall Counties that meet the Federal income guidelines.
Gross monthly income is used to determine eligibility. Income guidelines are determined by the Federal Government.

Typical Weatherization measures include:

  • Attic sealing, insulation, and venting
  • Dense pack sidewall insulation
  • Furnace modification and retrofit
  • Duct testing, repair, and sealing
  • Primary air sealing to blower door standards
  • Water pipe insulation
  • Duct insulation
  • Floor insulation
  • Window repair (Window replacement is not included)

2018 Income Guidelines

Family Size Gross Monthly Income Gross Annual Income

For family units with more than 8 members, add $8,640.00 per year (annual income) for each additional member.

How To Receive Service

Call, stop by our office, or use the download links below for an application. Must submit application including intake forms, copy of photo ID, proof of income for all persons 18 or older living in the home, heating bill (gas, oil, wood, kerosene), and electric bills.
